Linda Lee has worked extensively as an improvising vocalist since the 1980s. Feetpackets, SWIG, Red Snapper and Skits are just some of the improvising outfits she has worked with around the UK and Europe.

Her recordings include the compilation CD 'Women with Voices' (Slam Productions, 1993) which also features Julie Tippets, Maggie Nichols, Alison Bentley and others, and she is a member of Sheffield-based improvising 'antichoir' Juxtavoices.

In autumn 2014 she took part along with nine other vocalists in the film project  'In Absence of the Smoky God' by Matt Stokes which was shown at the Site Gallery in Sheffield between September and November.

She is also an accomplished singer/songwriter in an alt.country style and has been described as 'a latter day Janis Joplin' in 'The Word' magazine (2006). She plays regularly around South Yorkshire and Derbyshire with her band Jackalope Tales (formerly Sneaky Peek). Their four EPs to date are available to stream or download via Bandcamp.
